Breckenridge Creative Arts is seeking a part-time, seasonal, dedicated professional for the position of House Manager. (More regular hours June-August, and very part time September-May.)
Reporting to the Venue and Artist Relations Manager, the House Manager is responsible for overseeing all front of house operations at the Breckenridge Creative Arts’ venues, ensuring that the experience of each patron is enjoyable and safe. This position is responsible for supervising volunteer staff, coordinating merchandise sales, handling lobby logistics, and troubleshooting. Duties include preparing the venue’s public areas prior to the opening of the house, working with the head usher for directing and participating in the orderly seating of patrons, scanning/collecting tickets, answering inquiries concerning the building, program or other related information, ensuring compliance with fire codes, directing the performers, production staff, and patrons in the event of an emergency, coordinating with the security team to ensure the safety of performers, production staff, and patrons, and enforcing facility policies. This position also assists with arranging hospitality for performing artists.
House Manager is expected to support the objectives of the Breckenridge Creative Arts’ Operations and to provide overall support to Breckenridge Creative Arts in a collaborative team environment. This is a customer service position requiring excellent computer skills, dependability, analysis, attention to detail, the ability to learn quickly, along with excellent communication skills with the public, staff and resident companies.

- One (1) years’ experience in house management or customer service; or the equivalent in education, training and experience that would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities
- General knowledge of performing and visual arts
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn quickly
- Strong work ethic
- Certified in CPR & First Aid
- Ability to work hours beyond the normal workday, including evenings, nights, weekends, and· holidays is required
