Bach, Beethoven + Breckenridge

Bach, Beethoven + Breckenridge
March 17 – May 22
Old Masonic Hall | FREE
Applause! Reception Tuesday, July 12 at 5pm

What began in 1980 as the Breckenridge Music Institute evolved over time into the Breckenridge Music Festival and, in 2019, combined forces with Breckenridge Creative Arts in a strategic merger. For four decades, the Breckenridge Music Festival has enriched Summit County with live performances ranging from classical to country, a robust music education program, and a strong sense of community. The Bach, Beethoven + Breckenridge exhibition honors the past, shared history, and the many people who helped make the festival a success.

Named after the Bach, Beethoven + Breckenridge poster series that has been a tradition of the Breckenridge Music Festival since 1981, the exhibition features archival posters, original artworks, recordings, program books, and other memorabilia. In celebration of the merger between the two organizations, it also includes commissioned artwork by Boulder printmaker and former artist-in-residence, Theresa Haberkorn, for the 2022 Breckenridge International Festival of Arts poster.
