Building Hope, in collaboration with BreckCreate, this class teaches linoleum block printmaking techniques. Led by Callie Glidden, participants will learn about printmaking materials as well as how to safely use tools to create a finished print by the end of class. We will provide a canvas bag for your print. Option to bring your own plain white item made of primarily cotton to print on (i.e. t shirt). Participants should have an idea in mind that the instructor can help you bring to life.
About the Instructor: Callie was born and raised in Iowa. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation and a minor in Studio Arts. She is a multi-media creator which entails welding, jewelry making, and making sculptural wall pieces. Callie hopes to use her art to bring light to caring for oneself and hopes to inspire more intentions for empathy, community, and inclusion throughout daily life.
