Planned by the Town of Breckenridge each year, the Breckenridge Town Party celebrates a Winter of hard work and the beginning of Summer. Headlining the party this year is indie-folk sensation Paper Bird. Since the band’s formation in 2007, Paper Bird has been playing its joyful blend of indie folk, blue-eyed soul, and rock to delighted audiences nationwide. The current lineup includes Mark Anderson (drums), Sarah Anderson (vocals, trumpet), Carleigh Aikens (vocals), Paul DeHaven (guitar), Genevieve Patterson (vocals, keys), and Caleb Summeril (bass, guitar, banjo). Everyone writes for the group, and there is no leader. Paper Bird’s live performances showcase the group’s diversity and good-time vibe. Their rare and beautiful approach to music has led them to be featured on NPR’s All Things Considered, in a New York Times story about up and coming Denver bands, and most recently listed in Paste Magazine’s Top 10 Colorado Bands to Watch.

Raven and The Writing Desk will open. The Breckenridge Town Party offers music, socializing, and fun for the kids. Nicky’s Quickie will be there with delicious Greek fare and Blue at the Riverwalk will be serving ice cold beverages. There will also be free kids’ activities on the arts district campus. Admission is free and open to the public. Please join us on the Riverwalk Lawn for a beautiful Breckenridge Summer evening!
