This class will alternate weeks between sewing and fabric design. Design classes will include a floating ink technique (marbling) to create unique patterns on fabrics. This is a technique commonly used in textile design. These fabrics can be used in many possible sewing projects such as cloth napkins, placemats, neck gaiters, hankies, quilt squares, decorative hangings and much more. Sewing class will include how to thread and safely use a sewing machine, how to construct basic seams, how to apply decoration, and basic pattern making techniques.
Attendees must be 15 or older to participate.
