La Corrida de los Muertos, or Run of the Dead, is a festive group run in honor of the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. Come together with family and friends to honor loved ones that have passed, and experience a great sense of community through a little exercise and a lot of fun.
Gather at Old Masonic Hall (136 S. Main Street) at 9am in Día de los Muertos attire, or dress up onsite with face-paint, flowers and other festive accessories provided by Breckenridge Creative Arts. Supplies limited. This race is open to all ages and athletic abilities. Flash mob: 10am; Race start: 10:15am.
In the spirit of remembering our deceased ancestors, the race course takes runners past the historic Valley Brook Cemetery, followed by a variety of free Día de los Muertos activities on the Arts District campus that celebrate this rich cultural tradition.
